Space is the infinite potential of things. Space is the container for all possibilities. It's like the womb that holds all of us so we can play, create, explore and learn.
Space is something we've been really good at getting rid of over the last several hundred years. We have removed more of our natural spaces and replaced them with man-made spaces. We like to fill space up with things only to be replaced with more things that create less space. We feed ourselves mental media non-stop giving ourselves no time to create mental space. We have lost touch with how to create space in our relationships, our bodies, our breath, and during our day.
When is the last time you removed yourself from all distractions, and spent time just with yourself and your breath? No media, no people, no food; doing absolutely nothing but breathing. Do you remember what it felt like?
That’s what life feels like when we create space.
When space is created we are able to process our day’s residue. We have the capacity to become really clear about our thoughts, feelings, desires and what actions we want to take. Our nervous system gets to take a break, our cells can regenerate and our body can self heal. Sounds nice, right? So why don’t we do more of it?
At some point in time our collective values changed. We no longer felt it important or necessary to have these kinds of practices for ourselves. We stopped recognizing the natural cycles of time and nature. We forgot that humans are just a part of nature. We became forceful, choosing domination, an energy of contraction, over partnership, an energy of expansion. We chose to believe that man is superior to all other parts of creation, and the world is a “dog eat dog” reality.
The good thing is that we can change our reality by changing our belief system and creating new habits. If we choose, we can recreate what this world is, what connection is and what our relationships look like. (By the way, check out our podcast episode on relationships Beliefs & Relationships ) This is what we hope to help foster in MetaSpace. We have come together because we believe that when we have a safe space for exploration, we have the potential to become more whole, and more of who we really are.
We are slowly and intentionally building our offerings around the relationships we form in the space. We are excited to welcome you to our community of like minded spirits. You can connect with us below.
